Welcome to 2012!

A big welcome back to all our returning students, their families and staff for the beginning of a new school year! A special welcome too, to our new students in Prep and across the year levels, new families and new staff - we hope you come to love St Anthony's as we do! 2012 is set to be a big year again, with lots happening around our great community. Today, we welcomed all our new members at our first Friday Assembly of the year. New students received Merit Certificates of welcome and Mr Savage formally welcomed our new members of staff - Mr Peter Griffin, our new APRE and Year 4 teacher; Mrs Tracey Pritchard, our new Prep School Officer; and Mrs Virginia Moore, our new Front Office Secretary. The first community event for our school will be a Welcome BBQ on Friday 3rd February at 5.00 p.m. Everyone is welcome and school satff will be providing a sausage sizzle for all our families. BYO drinks, seating, nibblies, etc. and come along for a couple hours of fun and 'getting to know you' time! See you then! The library will be open next week for classes and also during the lunch hours from 1.00 p.m. until 1.25 p.m. I look forward to seeing many children taking advantage of the activities on offer - Monday is Story Day; Tuesday is our Letters and Numbers competition; Wednesday is Craft Day; Thursday is Movie Day; and Friday is 'Anything Goes' Day.
