Thank you to Miss Davis and Year 2/3 J for their very special prayer celebration about Refugee Week June 19 - 25. The children reminded us that Australia is made up of many cultures and belief systems. We were told of the plight of people seeking refuge from political and religious persecution in their own countries and we realised how lucky we are living in a country which values free speech and democracy. Jesus and his family were also refugees and had to escape to Egypt when Jesus was a baby. This is a time for us to look with compassion and understanding at the lives of others and do what we can to help them live their lives in freedom and safety.
