What an exciting (if rather long!) assembly we had last Friday morning. Along with the usual celebration of classroom achievements, we congratulated the debaters and their coaches on a most successful debating season; those students who participated in the Premier's Reading Challenge were presented with their well-deserved certificates; the Social Justice Group showed us a couple of completed blankets that had been stitched by the Ladies Group from the colourful squares knitted by students and staff alike for the needy in our community; and the grand finale was the celebration of song that we enjoyed as Mrs Francis led Years 3 and 4 and both the Junior and Senior choirs through a wonderful and catchy selection of songs, culminating in the theme song for Music: Count Us In. What a wonderful way to start our Friday and end our week!
