Term Two, Week Six

Welcome to Week 6! Thank you to Mrs Todd and Year 7M who led us in a celebration of the feast of Our lady Help of Christians. She is the patron saint of Australia. We heard all about the qualities of Mary that we can emulate in our own lives, as we strive to be the best we can be. It was an informative and prayerful assembly that concluded with a whole school recitation of the Hail Mary prayer. Thankyou, once again.

Today, we once again made peace doves for Wednesday craft in honour of Well Being Week. We are using this week to try to be a little kinder to ourselves and others. The Bravehearts group visited our school and spoke to the children about feeling safe and the ways in which they can keep themselves and others happy and safe.

It was also National Simultaneous Storytime today and at around 11.00 a.m., several classes joined in with other primary schools across Australia to listen to the story The Wrong Book by Nick Bland. It was great to see the children get so involved in the telling of this wonderful story.

As you can see by the photo below, the small blue couch (courtesy of last year's Earn and Learn) is a great hit with the everyone, including soon-to-be members of our school! See you in the library!
