Friday Assembly March 23

We had some special visitors at our regular Merit Assembly this morning. Twelve Japanese students and their teachers from Baiko Gakuin Women's Junior High School are staying with some of our families. This morning, they entertained us with a dance and a beautiful song. We are also very impressed with their English! At the conclusion of assembly, our Year 7 students presented each visitor with a St Anthony's hat as a keepsake of their visit to our school. Thank you, girls - we hope you enjoy your stay in Australia. This morning we also had one of our students, April from Year 4 speak to us about the trip her family is making to an school and orphanage in Thailand over the Easter break. Students have been asked to bring a variety of stationery and other irems to assist the families in this poor area. What a wonderful initiative and a great way of living the motto 'never see a need without doing something about it'!
