Book Week 2011 - One World, Many Stories

Book Week is fast approaching! During Week 7 (August 22 - 26), we will be celebrating in a variety of ways. The children will be participating in our Book Week dress-up parade on Tuesday morning 23rd August. The theme this year is One World, Many Stories, so the children have been asked to come dressed with that theme in mind. We hope to have some parent volunteers from different cultures come and share a story or a book from their country of origin, there will be craft activities and Mrs Crisp will be reading the fabulous book "I See You" she has had published and will engage students in a craft activity based on the book. Mrs Francis will be teaching students the Gotta Keep Reading song so we can have a school performance of this great adaptation on the Black-Eyed Peas song. Prayer assembly on Wednesday will also follow the theme of Book Week. Take a look at this video of Noni the Pony by well known author Alison Lester.
