Farewell

This week we farewell Miss Judith Seery who has been our principal at St Anthony's for the past six and a half years. We will miss Miss Seery and wish her all the best in her new position of Professional Officer - Governance and Policy at Brisbane Catholic Education. Miss Seery has been responsible for a number of new initiatives at St Anthonys, including our Sala di Sant' Antonio and will be most remembered for her pastoral care of those within our community and for her wonderful artistry which she demonstrated in the design of our theme candle each year and our new logo and emblem. Miss Seery was farewelled by the staff on Tuesday afternoon and by the wider school community on Friday assembly. She was officially and affectionately farewelled by Mrs Annette Ash of the Garent Network Group, Mr David Lack of the previous Planning Committee and by Mr Michael Choi, the State Member for Capalaba. Miss Seery left us a large clock for our cultural centre which she designed and created and which we will hang with pride and many fond memories. Best wishes in your new role, Miss Seery!

We also take this opportunity to thank Miss Karen McIntosh for her role as acting Principal and wish her well as ashe returns to her own school. Next term, we will welcome Mr Martyn Savage as acting Principal for the remainder of the year.
